Respect for Country

We welcome you all on Ewamian Country, and we ask for your cooperation in creating a peaceful and enjoyable environment for all our guests.

  • Pets are welcome at Talaroo but must be well supervised and declared when booking.  Pets are not allowed on tours nor in the café/reception area.  Pets should not be left unattended and must be on a leash at all times when not contained in your van or vehicle.  You must pick up after your pet.  We reserve the right to ask you to leave without a refund if your pet is disturbing other guests.

  • Smoking is not permitted on tours or within 10 metres of in-use campsites, our café and any other shared facilities or public areas.

  • Off-the-ground firepits are allowed. However, we do not provide or sell firewood and ask that guests do not remove or cut any trees on the property.

  • Please respect our campground quiet time between 8pm and 7.30am and limit noise during these hours.

  • BYO is allowed at the café seating area and your site.

  • Generators are not allowed to be used at any time at Talaroo Hot Springs.  If you need power, please book one of our powered sites

  • Access to the Hot Springs is via guided tour only.  Please respect the cultural and environmental sensitivity of this very special place and allow us to show you around.

  • Please do not fly your drone at Talaroo.  For the safety of our guests at our campground and at the hot springs, we don’t allow personal drones to be flown at Talaroo unless authorised by management.

  • There are no dump points at Talaroo, but they are available locally at Mount Surprise, Georgetown & Forsayth so please plan accordingly.

  • Any persons breaching these guidelines and disrespecting Talaroo will be asked to leave the property immediately and without refund.

Hot Springs Restrictions

  • We don’t recommend bathing in the hot spring pools during pregnancy.  Immersing your body in the warm water will raise your body temperature which can be dangerous.  If you’re on the Hot Springs Discovery Tour, you can still soak your feet during the bathing session so you won’t miss out completely.

  • We recommend that all persons with medical conditions or undergoing treatment seek medical advice before entering our hot springs pools.  In particular, we do not recommend bathing for guests with any of the following:

  • Conditions with high fever

  • Extreme hypertension

  • Malignant tumours and cancerous conditions

  • Liver, kidney and circulation disorders

  • Conditions presenting the high risk of haemorrhaging

  • Anaemic conditions

  • Congestive heart failure, recent stroke or recent heart attack

  • Pregnancy

  • Diabetes

  • For the welfare of all bathers and the cleanliness of our pools, we ask guests to shower before entering the bathing pool using the showers provided close by.

  • All guests must adhere to the bathing guidelines provided by guides and signage around the pools.  Any person disrespecting the rules will be asked to leave the pools immediately.

  • Talaroo’s hot springs pools are places of wellness and cleansing.  We therefore do not allow any food or alcohol into the bathing or soak pools as it may compromise the quality of the waters and affect the safety of bathers.

  • Guests should not remain in the private soaking pools for longer than 40 minutes as extended exposure to elevated temperatures may be dangerous

  • There is no access allowed to any of the springs pools after dark.
