Talaroo’s outback campground and caravan park features just 39 landscaped sites surrounded by nature and with abundant wildlife including over 120 bird species. We also offer four Eco Tents for visitors looking for a genuine but comfortable camping experience in our unique location.

The park is set around a clean and modern camp kitchen, amenities block, reception, gift shop and small café.

Check in for camping from 11am daily and for Eco Tents from 1pm daily.

Check out by 10am.

Powered sites

Talaroo’s powered sites are 12x5.2 metres and are set back at least 3 metres from the road. All sites are reverse-in, but they are angled for ease of parking. Each site has power and water and a grass/dirt base.

Unpowered sites

Talaroo’s unpowered camp sites are 8x6 metres and are set 3 metres back from the road. Each site has a grass/dirt base and all sites are conveniently located close to amenities.

Please note that rainfall is limited during the season so lush grass sites are not possible.

ECO TENTS

Talaroo’s newest accommodation option, our simple but stylish Eco Tents offer comfort and convenience for guests travelling without a tent, camper or motorhome.

This is a genuine camping experience with a cosy Queen bed, power and lighting. A small fridge, electric kettle/jug and complimentary tea & coffee are provided.

The Eco Tents are situated just 100 metres from the Campground bathroom facilities and camp kitchen and vehicle parking is available next to your tent.

Eco Tents sleep 2 persons maximum and pets are strictly not allowed.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOUR STAY

Rates are valid from 28 March to 30 September 2024
There is a 10% surcharge on the basic powered/unpowered site rate during peak season, applicable upon booking. Peak season is during Queensland school holidays ie. 28 March - 14 April, 22 June to 7 July and 14-30 September 2024.
Bookings are essential and payment in advance is required for all sites and all nights. Refunds will not be provided for unused nights or no-shows.
All sites accommodate one vehicle and one RV, motor home, caravan, campervan camper trailer or tent. Big rigs may need to unhitch and park vehicles separately in the car park.
Pets under strict supervision are welcome at Talaroo and must be declared at the time of booking. Please check our terms and conditions for more information
For the enjoyment of all guests, we do not allow generators to be used at any time.
